ARK: Extinction Takes Players Back to Earth in November

By Rebecca Smith,
Having already received the "Scorched Earth" and "Aberration" expansions, ARK: Survival Evolved will expand once more in November with the introduction of "ARK: Extinction". The expansion will take players back to Earth, where their story originally began and where it will conclude.

Earth isn't the planet that most of us would recognise. It's infested with Elements and ravaged from the actions of organic and technological creatures. Despite this, it holds secrets important to deciphering the world's past and its salvation. To get to those secrets, players need to defeat the gigantic Titans that dominate Earth and complete the ARK cycle. It is here where players' journeys will finally end.

As the launch of "Extinction" approaches, developer Studio Wildcard will be regularly releasing Explorers Notes related to the expansion. They can be found throughout the main game and its current expansions. These will allow players to unlock new skins and Tek-themed Dinosaur variants. The first of the Explorers Notes is already available and unlocks the "Extinction"-related Corrupted Helm skin.

"Extinction" will launch on November 6th. Players who have purchased the Explorer’s Pack or the Season Pass will receive the expansion at no extra cost. For those who haven't, the expansion will be available separately as both a standalone expansion pack and an upgrade.
