From Horizon Studio comes Elsewhere High, a visual novel about a school for kids who were expelled from... everywhere else. You play as Derek, a boy expelled for writing horrible messages to another student, sent to Elsewhere High to become a better student.

This is for all intent and purposes, a book. Your choices don't change the course of the story at all, it all still leads to the same place. The achievements are all really easy to get. The characters don't pull me in. The background noises are much more distracting than they help with the ambience. There's nothing about this that really pulled me into it and I was just playing to complete.

And then the twist happened and my interest is definitely peeked. At first, I wasn't going to bother getting the second chapter, but after the twist, I definitely want to. I wouldn't really recommend this for anyone who doesn't enjoy sitting down and just reading a visual novel, especially because it doesn't have much to it. The story line as well, it's just not that gripping.

However, the twist? It definitely makes chapter two worth looking at for me. Unfortunately, chapter one just went a little too long on for my own personal tastes. For what this is, a lot of filler could have been removed before it was released to the public.

Not horrible, but it's not great either.
