Yeah, there is definitely a case to be made for Steam being a person's main platform! The logical part of my brain does kinda think it *should* be my main, given I play..
so many indie games, many of which are cheaper than on PSN/Xbox but as well as the exclusives...TROPHIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They speak out to me more than GS and the Steam variant, even before the: "100 achievements per second" games started coming out, don't count towards your level.
Steam is FAR more oriented towards community and trading etc. I find it ironic that (IIRC) they said they wouldn't include achievements in the level because people might
start cheating for them but yet you can get card generators to do the same thing. But yeah, as a completionist, those Plats are just too irresistible!
And as unlikely as it may seem (well, IDK if it is), I'm not really that much of a socialite so the idea of talking to 100s or 1000s of people trying to complete a set of
cards I find really too daunting. :( Much prefer having a smaller list of people I know I can trust. It's also why I've been reluctant to boost in general.
Hark at me waffling in your thread here. Ultimately, it's personal preference, I don't subscribe to the whole fanboy thing.
The only thing missing for me from PSN is a gift system like Steam. Only thing it's good for is keeping track and even then, you don't get emails about reductions. :(
*The Wishlist, I meant. Deleted that part by accident.
Definitely, I much prefer trophies over gamerscore and Steam achievements. Steam achievements are a joke now with those games having 10k of them.
But not just that, they can easily be hacked as the PC is very open to modding. I'm not against that as it's an inherent nature of the system however it does
hurt the concept of achievements on Steam when they can easily be acquired by non-legit methods.
As for trading cards and trading, I really don't get the appeal of that at all. The trading cards can be bought with money and they do absolutely nothing.
It's like buying trophies, what would be the point? It's a really weird system and I don't see the appeal in Steam levels at all. I sell all my trading cards as soon as I
get them to recoup some of the game costs. That's the only value I see in them lol. I reckon if they removed the ability to buy them (but still trade), they would
be a lot more appealing. Steam no doubt makes a killing on trading card commission though, so I can't see that happening.
I'm with you with the not subscribing to the fanboyism. It's better to just play games on the platform they are on. I do like the accessibility of Steam however,
free online play, faster loading in games, all games update automatically, easier to troubleshoot, larger variety of games and full backwards compatibility.
I could list more reasons but in the end I think the most important thing is where the games are at as that's the reason we play them.
I guess that's why we play games on all platforms instead of just one :P
Ah, I see you're also giving Steam some love! I need to do the same. :P
All over the place at the moment
I know how that feels, let me tell you.
Heh, that's a bit of a blast from the past! Wait...is this the original N64 game??? Looks like it from the trophies!
*cough* achievements *cough*

It's been on my watchlist for a while so happy to pick it up at 75% off in the Steam sale. It fully supports 1080p widescreen and 60fps too.
I believe it was released on PC back in the N64 days too but yeah it's the N64 game. They did a great job remastering it (from the 5mins I played :P).
Sweet! I bought it earlier, will be nice to go back to it, never beat it back in the day! Remember it was so extortionate back then too, £70 on release!
