Orange Pufferfish?

Anyone know what the orange pufferfish look things are? Whenever I click on them, it says "Yay!!" but I have no idea why I keep clicking them. Do they do anything useful in the game?

It always gives money. It sometimes gives 1 Ruby, It has, by default, about a 4% chance to give double rubies if you get a ruby.
