How to unlock the Pyromancer achievement

  This achievement does not track correctly on the Steam achievement tracker. You can check your progress by viewing your achievements via the TF2 main menu.

  This achievement will take a long time. My advice is to not use the Degreaser, as it deals less damage than the other flamethrowers and thus will accumulate slower.
  
  In addition, the flare gun/detonator does count towards this. Any sort of fire damage output as Pyro will count.
  
  The W+M1 strategy will most likely get you this the quickest, but it also comes at a cost of being called a scrub.

  I would just like to say you can get any tf2 achievement against bots as long as you create a server without cheats and type tf_bot_add in the console, you can also change the bot classes you go against by typing tf_bot_force_class medic or whatever class you want. Hope this helps.

  Attempt to look for servers with fast spawning idle bots. You can use these community maps for additional achievements.

  This achievement takes a fair amount of time, although it is significantly quicker than medic 1 million and demo 1 million.
  
  Find a community map with idle bots, such as "achievement_enginner", and use the backburner to melt them with crits.
  
  Fire damage from flare guns also counts.
  
  No issues with this achievement reporting, although the game appears to having issues with a lot of achievements.
