Finish the game firing exactly one bullet. Grenade, crowbar, rocket, and Gravity Gun kills are okay!

How to unlock the The One Free Bullet achievement

  You will come to a point after you receive the pistol where there is a chain link fence gate with a padlock on it. You need to shoot the lock once with the pistol in order to proceed with the level. This is the one bullet that you are allowed. I recommend using the gravity gun and crowbar the majority of the time and saving grenades and rockets for special instances that need something a little extra.
