In some rooms you will see a purple crack in the wall (in the first world at least) and you will want to shoot it to open a portal, once it's opened press F (on keyboard) to enter. You will immediately get the achievement and be in a challenge room, make sure to open all the portals and go in so you can get stuff from the challenges!
