and fire with
. Aiming whilst moving is still a pain like in Hotline Milwaukee. Just dash through shots to dodge them (your screen will flash black instead of you dying, indicating a miss).
To save you a click on the guide:
- Clear the first room of enemies.
- Head to a door, but don't leave the room. Just keep inching closer and closer to the edge of the level (in the doorway), holding left or right. If you do it right, you'll walk through into the wall and be able to walk between the level boundaries. If you inch too far forward, you'll exit the level and will have to clear the next room and attempt it again.
- Now just go back and forth between the levels, loading in a new room each time. Don't walk out of the wall. - Once you've loaded 10 new levels, leave the wall and enter that room. It should have a red carpet in the middle: this is the boss room.
- Defeat the boss to get the achievement.
Advice on the boss:The boss has three modes of attack: jumping up and trying to land on you, firing a circle of lasers and firing in a spiral laser pattern. That final attack mode is the best one as the boss will stop briefly before, allowing you time to shoot. Try and distance yourself from the boss to give yourself more shots before needing to dodge, as the lasers move slowly. There's not much point in firing when it's jumping, which it'll do after each ring shot (unless it decides to do a spiral attack), but you should be able to fire a few shots whilst it is attacking.
Just get the hang of dodging using the dash and make sure to distance yourself. This whole achievement can be obtained in very little time if you have the hang of the controls.
There is no health bar or any indication of how close it is to dying, just keep firing at the boss until it does.
