Smithing, enchanting and alchemy are important features that you have access to since the beginning of the campaign. This trophy can actually be earned at your first visit to Whiterun.

    Make a smithed item
This can be done at the forge of any blacksmith, or any other you may find on your journey. However it is best done on your first visit to Riverwood. If you visit the blacksmith Alvor there and propose him your help, he will teach you how to use the tanning rack, the forge, the workbench and the grindstone. He will give you the necessary ingredients so you can craft him items. Succeed at using the forge to make an iron dagger and this part of the trophy is over.

    Make an enchanted item
This one is a bit trickier, but you will find a teacher in Dragonreach, as Farengar will initiate you to this technique. You need to have an enchanted weapon or item on you, a common weapon or item and a filled soul gem. If you lack anything, he has some for sale. You first have to use the enchanting table behind his counter to disenchant an item and learn the spell the item contained, destroying it in the process. Then, select a common object from your inventory (weapon for offensive spells or cloth/armor/jewelery for defense or boost), the spell you just learned and a filled soul gem.

    Make a potion
There are countless alchemy labs disseminated here and there, but Arcadia's Cauldron in Whiterun is a good place. She offers ingredients for sale, has some on the counter you can pick up and the 'Herbalist's Guide to Skyrim' on a table in the back. All you have to do is mix two or three ingredients (you should already have a few, at least as a result to your curiosity) that will result in creating a potion. For it to work, the ingredients must have a common property. You can refer to recipes you have found in the book mentioned above. You can also eat some ingredients to reveal their first property.
