Hey everyone my name is Flaffy and I'm here to make your achievements easier!
Can't Touch This is a scary looking achievement at first sight but it's actually a lot simpler than you think it is. Although I still took about 10 tries trying to get it even knowing the following information.
The achievement reads "Took no damage while defeating the final boss." however what you may not have know is you dont take damage from the debris.
Yeah that's right. All those floating island chunks you keep running into won't be a problem while trying to get this achievement. The only thing you need to do is watch out for its moves.
Misc Tips
- You can only get closer to the boss while in the same dimension as him
- While boosting past rings they come to you like a magnet
- Don't shoot the other sonic at all throughout the fight because it stops from switching dimensions
- If worse comes to worst you can always switch dimensions to dodge an attack
- When you get to the end of the boss fight do not let go of the buttons while busting through the fireball because you'll take a hit and have to dodge a few attacks again
His Attacks
Homing Missiles - You know this attack is going to happen because every time it does some character from the sonic universe is going to say something like "Looks like a homing attack" To dodge this go to one side of the screen and when they all cluster up and get close move away
Arm Swipes - There are a few different arm swipes but they are all noticeable by the fact that his arms will appear out of nowhere in front of you. I like to go above them in the middle but if you're too high to do that go as low as you can because they won't be able to reach you.
People may ask for me to be a little more specific with this attack so here it goes!
*right and left refers to side of screen
Left Arm - Go to bottom left
Right Arm - Go to bottom right
Both Arms - Go between the two above them. If its not possible go all the way down.
2D Arm - Literally can boost right past it before it even swings every time
Time Freeze / Laser Attack - The reason I have the warning at the top saying not to shoot sonic at all through this is specifically for these time freezes. Every time the boss freezes time he shoots a bunch of homing missiles that will rush at you as soon as time returns. I find it easy to just switch dimensions to dodge those missiles.
On top of that the first time he freezes time he shoots a laser. Dodge this laser by switching dimensions. I have no idea how else to dodge it and I don't think it's worth the time to learn how to do it.
Defensive Attack - When you get close to his core to attack he will swipe at you with his top two arms. Always be aware of this! To dodge it you can simply go straight up and after he swipes go back down to hit him.
