This is going to be one of the more frustrating achievements to get in FFX. I had several attempts of failures between 180-199 before I finally got it. It really just requires patience and calm focus to be able to do.

This achievement has to be done in the Thunder Plains, and it is necessary to dodge 200 lightning strikes consecutively, without ever leaving the zone, saving/loading etc. Keep in mind that the achievement will not pop until you've claimed your reward, which includes swapping to Rin's agency in another zone. This means you will have to keep count yourself of how many you've dodged consecutively before going for the reward.

I recommend going to a spot in the southern part of the plains, where you can have complete control over when lightning will hit to make it more predictable. Once you hit your zen mode and keep at it, it will come eventually.

As you approach the crater, lightning will with 100% certainty come, if you've been far enough away. Dodge, go behind craters, dodge, repeat 200 times. I dodged around 500 consecutively in 35 minutes. If you set a timer for 25~30 and manage to not get hit you should be well above 200.

VivenmortJust a few things I want to add.

Before you even start, you will want to stop random encounters or you're gonna go crazy. They're two easy ways to do this. You can press F3 twice to enable the No Encounters booster, which you might consider "cheating", or you can defeat Geosgaeno at Baaj Temple and get a guranteed No-Encounters weapon to drop. Given you need to kill Geosgaeno anyway to get access to the weapon you're going to be powering up with the Sigil you get from this achievement, you may as well kill the damn thing and get it "legit".

When it comes to the actual dodging itself at the crater, the trick to its consistency is that lightning will not strike when you're close enough to the tower, and will quickly strike as you approach that crater just north of it. The mistake people make is that they don't go far enough from the crater to trigger the safety of the tower before returning to it. When you do that, the lightning will strike much later and catch people off-guard. So it doesn't really matter if your pathing isn't 100% consistent every single time, and you do not need to keep moving continuously to maintain the timing. As long as you get to that "safe" zone and return, it will be very dependable. A good visual aid for where that "safe" zone begins are the two marks on the ground next to each other. I went around the one closest to the tower.

Maybe I am just very good at playing under pressure, but my first streak over 3 strikes I got all the way to over 200. It sounds intimidating, but really it's just a matter of executing the exact same not-so-difficult sequence over and over.
