You will need to recruit 4 soldiers to start each campaign, and probably another after your first fight. By the time you reach rank 10, you'll need 10-20 warriors. You can recruit DLC heroes for zero gold frequently and fire them immediately to count.To increase your progress towards this achievement, you can start and then delete a warband. Each Warband starts with 500 gold (or more) to spend on warriors.
