If you really want it as soon as possible, you will have to focus on finding vehicles as soon as you land, instead of going for normal loot, though finding gas cans can help prolong your driving, so remember to grab them along if you do come by some. Once you've found a vehicle, you can start trying to find players or bots moving around. Bots are the easiest to hit as they usually run in a specific line and are easy to figure out where they will be while you drive and they are running and can then time the collision. Players might notice you and jump to the side or even gun you down while you approach, so be prepared for failures. Players might also use buildings or objects like barrels, benches, destroyed vehicles to hide behind while you try to run them over, watch out for this, mainly with cars and motorbikes, not only do you take damage once you collide but you risk the player you targeted guns you down afterwards. Best places to attempt to find players are big open places with little to no mountain-ish landscape or small hills. The bumpy landscape will make it hard for you to direct and control your vehicle towards the player. If the vehicle you find has only half a tank of gas in, and you have a gas can, use it. Now your vehicle is either full or almost full of fuel and you don't need to fill it later on if you're chasing down a target or risk getting sniped while you stand still and fill inside of the vehicle.
